Incidentally, if someone wants to do an "anti-drop-pod" / how do I fight it, thread, I am sure it would make for a valid discussion, but I fear a first post would say all that needs to be said.

If the opponent across from you shows up to play with a box full of pods, you space out your tempting targets, or deploy them so that table-edges, and impassible terrain will invite mishaps.

Whatever does land, you suck up, and endure, because afterwards you are likely to have a lot of fairly ineffectual/minimally threatening squads positioned in a way that will likely lead to their immediate demise.

As someone who uses pods for Melta Doms, Wolf Guard, or the occasional "for funsies" Dreadnaught lists, I can say that when I drop guys in, I usually expect them to die, and urgently hope their alpha strike earns back their points. :-p
