Thanks man, and story wise they are khorne worshippers but game wise they won't have a convent as I can spend the points on more guys and tanks

You may want to reconsider that. For 20 points, you can boost up to 30 of your men with either re-rolling to wounds, 6+ feel no pain, fleet, or BS2 snap shots. And they are all the same price, so you can switch covenants between games without changing your list. That's a lot of benefits for less than a point per body. Just saying

In my list I'm taking Slaanesh because 1) he/she/it is my favorite and 2) fleet is helpful to reposition troops and grab last minute objectives.

Fair enough dude I might consider them for normal games but in larger point games ill just keep them as bare bones

Got a quick update, I've finished a few more cultist models which I shall post pictures of soon, as well as try at painting my first militia man

Some more guys there are still a fair few cultists to go but I shall start on the militia tomorrow

Looking good mate. Definitely a good start.

A little tip for photography: you may want to set up a quick light box. It's a bit hard to see some of the details or the true color because of the flash. By simply setting the models on a white sheet of paper and using another white sheet as the background, you can have a simple light box that will help the models pop. There are also plenty of tutorials here on dakka and other modeling sites if you want something more permanent

Also, I'm curious about how are you going to make the militia look different from the cultists? Different spot color, armor, something else?

Thank dude and cheers dude ill do that for the next lot of guys, and the militia will have the same red colour for the armour, but I might paint there overalls a grey colour but at the moment I'm just gonna do all the cultists then focus on them and thanks dude

If you dont mind me suggesting schtuff, I think you should try pig iron's kolony feral heads. Diversity is key in an army like this! You may also want to get small accessories to add and weapon modifications for the cultists.

Thanks dude I was eyeing up the kolony range for heads I must ask how good do they look on guard, also for the cultists I will end up giving them some symbol and little things like that, but for the militia they will be kept roughly the same (due to the whole bred for war style lore) but thank you

You could actually use the full kolony feral models. They make great cultists!

well they're not out yet but theres a company thats going to make plastic fantasy cultists later on.

Thank you Fair enough I like the cultists personally but I must agree they are kinda a little to expensive for a horde army, cheers though I think I shall be looking into some of these to flesh out the cult thank you

Those cultists look great! I just wish they weren't $3 per model. As Arkos said, that can get pretty expensive for a horde army. I'm going to check ebay and see if there are any secondhand ones. I'll let you know if I find anything Arkos

Sorry for no resent updates I have as seen in the last picture been gaming for the past week end at my local gaming club raising money for a cancer charity (by paying about 20 pence to re roll dice, as well as snacks, and a raffle, and such) and was awake for around 24 hours so have been resting so I shall hopefully be posting pictures of more painted models soon
