Turn 3 Opponents Turn
The marines moved some of their characters into help out with the 2 main combats, a lieutenant moved to aid his men in the centre, and a captain moved to aid his men on the left flank, as the hellblaster squad and psyker moved to unleash their powers and weapons on my poor militiamen, and my poor punisher who had taken a number of wounds due to the sky borne menace.
The marines maintained their ground against my numerous charges and took only a small number of casualties, they responded by killing numerous cultists, an ogryn and a spawn.

Turn 3 My turn
Again I tried to push forward, however keeping back my militia squads in the hope they could remove the eliminators and lend support by targeting characters, again the flyer remained in the sky due to a combination of poor accuracy, and the attempt to remove the eliminators, however I did manage to score some more kills in combat, although it still remained a bitter stalemate, thankfully i still maintained the objective on my side of the table, atleast giving me some VP as I fought tooth and nail for the centre points.

Turn 4 Opponents Turn
The marines managed to seal a small number of casualties to me, namely during combat, the most shocking was the death of my renegade commander in combat, unfortunately it was fairly uneventful on my opponents turn.

Turn 4 My Turn
Unlike my opponents turn I enjoyed much more success and managed to rid myself of that annoying flyer, I also managed to inflicted a few minor casualties, the largest success i had was killing the chaplain with my marauders meltaguns, in combat however I suffered a handful of casualties.

Turn 4 Opponents Turn
The marines began to make a play back this turn, decimating my plague ogryn squad, finishing off the lone marauder, wiping out a militia squad by hellblasters that and managing to keep my cultists from taking the central objective this turn was looking to be a reverse on my earlier advances, my malefic lord on the left was charged by a primaris captain and although he tried he dealt no damage, the last militia commander was sniped by the last eliminator but managed to survive on 1 wound, needless to say I needed to stop the marines.

Turn 4 My Turn
It was my turn to do nothing eventful, I succeeded in killing no marines whatsoever, and just when I needed to the most.

Turn 5 Opponents Turn
Im afraid I don't have any photos of turn 5, wrapped up in the moment as we were i forgot to take photos but needless to say the marines pressed forward and inflicted another string of casualties, a full militia squad, the malefic lord and ogryn on the left flank my whole cultists unit in combat on the central objective, and a few others here and there, things were not looking good for the renegades.

Turn 5 My Turn
I implored the Dark Gods to grant me their favour l, I was rewarded, almost immediately I managed to kill the final eliminator, removing a deadly thorn that had been picking at units for the majority of the game, I managed to inflict a single casualty on the marines in the central objective, I did the same to the squad on the left side, and managed to kill a hellblaster or two.

Turn 6 Opponents Turn
The marines moved forward, the Librarian moved to support the hellblasters who moved to support the central objective, the marine squad moved forward and fired at the militia squads, inflicted a few casualties, and the primaris captain moved towards the punisher, set on destroying the tank and treating the left side.

Turn 6 My Turn
I set about denying the marines their gains, my maraduers acted as executioners for the apothecary cowering behind the central objective, my militia squads within range targeted the squad holding the objective until it was just the sergeant left, and my command squad along with a depleted militia squad shot at the anicent, wounding him but failing to kill him.

Turn 7 Opponents Turn
The marines were down to bare bones now, but they were determined, the marine squad on the left Dove into combat, joined by the librarian with a militia squad and managed to inflict some casualties, the hellblasters fired and killed a single militia man and the Librarian suffered perils of the warp and took 2 wounds, the Primaris captain took 2 wounds off the leman russ, the anicent and single primaris sergeant only killed a single model.

Turn 7 My Turn
I began this turn by moving squads into position, such as moving the militia squad in combat out of combat my cultists with autoguns fired into the hellblasters and killed one, they were joined by a militia squad and a disciple squad that wiped them out, my punisher tank reversed and turned the primaris captain into red mist with its gatling cannon, the heavy bolters fired into the marine squad and killed another 2, the marauders used their meltas to cook the remaining marine from that squad, the anicent was killed by the command squad, and the final marine on the central objective was torn apart by a storm of las and auto fire.

Turn 8
With only the librarian left my opponent charged him into combat and deal a number of casualties, when it was my turn I used my marauders to finish off the last marine, wiping out the corpse Emperor's finest


Note On The Game

Hey everyone sorry for the long battle report and breaking it into smaller chunks, I also apologise for this were update that has 3 turns instead of 1, and for the lack of photos, I was very engrossed and simply forgot to take photos until after the final turn.
I wanted to do a little bit about the renegades to finish off, I was impressed with how the army stood up in battle, my heretics of the match had to be the marauders as they simply cut through anything with those melta guns, I honestly look forward to playing my renegades again soon as they were a ton of fun to play, so hopefully their will be some more battle reports in the not so distant future.

Really fun battle report, thanks for sharing. It's always to see Renegades in action and I'm glad to hear your force put up a good fight and took down the Angels of the Emperor.

Thank you Red Hobbit it means a lot I'm glad you enjoyed it hopefully I'll have more battle reports next year and being the fight to the hated loyalists!

Hello everyone! Been a bit absent as of late but I have finally made some mutants! Honesty really enjoyed making them and really want to make some more, hope you all like them and hopefully I'll have more updates soon!

It has been a while Renegade commander arkos.

Making mutants is fun...it is painting them all that is the real challenge.

It has been too long although hopefully I'll be posting more regularly in the winter month's
Making them has been kind of fun but in some cases a real hassle, painting them well ill cross that bridge when I come to it.

I've also made another batch of mutants I hope you all enjoy, this time armed with pistols.

Hello everyone! Its been a while but as you can see I've been a bit busy, I went on a recruitment drive and got some more cultists to strength the horde, these are just the ones I've managed to do some simple head swaps and arm swaps on, plus some ex redemptionists and a mordheim possessed, the rest I'll be taking photos of later.

Nice little horde you have got going on there, good work on the conversions, hopefully help break up the masses

The level of heresy in this thread is alarming! I love it. Have you painted all those traitor guardsmen yet? I'd really like to see a picture of them in that case.

I'm glad you do DoctorDanny and I have I posted them awhile ago but I will admit it's not the best photo's, and I will do some more this time squad by squad.

Also little update here, I have managed to get some extra conversion bits in the form of 20 ungors and I plan to hopefully make some more mutants in the not too distant future, I should also have some more cultist conversions soon.

Nice job on the cultists, those were some great models, a lot of character and easy to assemble. If they'd had separate heads they'd have been perfect.

Great work Arkos, soon you will have more than me.
Also great work on the Mutants, once you started its difficult to stop making them.

Thank you! It's a shame they didn't have separate heads the one with the flail is always a pain to pry off, but other than that they are fantastic models

Thank you, I honestly have been making dozens more, should be posting more pics of them soon

Also I will be posting on here a bit more now that I've gotten back into the hobby (dipped out of it for some time) so more battle reports, mutants and of course cultists will be on their merry little heretical way

Here are some of the mutants I've been lovingly "conscripting" honestly been tempted to make even more even started looking at other kits that could make more mutants even though I have way more than I'll ever need, but I guess you can't have enough fodder
