Subject: Re:Bad Squiddo Games NEWS - NEW FEMALE SOVIET RANGE 9/3/16
Annie wrote: Basically, so long as they keep selling - I'll keep making them! I have an ever growing list of female WW2 figures I want to make. I'm really passionate about it, and they're currently selling well, so long may it continue! And outside of the Soviet Union too, I have all sorts of plans. So Greatcoat wearing troops, but I also have plans for civillians, militia, partizan and all the like.
Spoiler:
and now with fancy artwork from Greg Taylor!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Paintjobs by Andrew Taylor!
New female ogres, sculpted by Phil Hynes and cast in resin.
Sasha, Ogre Fighter.
Hyacinth, Ogre Oracle with Ogre Child. The two figures are separate, I put them on bases there so the hands join up but they can be separate too. Could be good for scenarios, or using the child as a familiar.
Olive, Ogre Oracle. Also comes with a cleaver hand. I like the rat hanging from the back of her belt.
Scale Shot (28mm Lathgertha)
I've got Paul Cubbin painting them up as we speak.
Three (and a half) Ogres, sculpted by Phil Hynes, painted by Paul Cubbin. I love these, they started as a bit of a side project that Phil initiated and I pretty much said "cool, if you want to sculpt ogres, go for it!" whilst I was book deep in Soviet stuff.
I think they've come out great, really characterful, and now Paul Cubbin has done his sickeningly good brushwork on them too.
And there she is, the spirit of the hungry winter, the little grandmother....

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.

AVAILABLE NOW - Amy Johnson 1/10th scale, sculpted by Przemysław Szymczyk.
Amy was an English aviatrix who set many flight records in the 30's, as well as going on to fly in WW2. One of the many women who have fought gender stereotypical expectations and took to the skies!
The first bust from Bad Squiddo Games, and hopefully first of many! I can't wait to see her painted up.
A great starter bust for those a bit scared by the them, lots of nice flat areas to practice on....no filgerie!
Since the last update of this topic, Bad Squiddo have massively expanded the range, and the entire store is well worth checking out.
(note):
At the moment Annie is working through order backlogs caused by moving premises, and the wait per order is around 1-2 weeks.
I can personally attest that things are shipping (I help assemble the packaging when I'm in the neighborhood), with Royal Mail doing business collection every day.
