Hi,
with an old friend we started playing 3rd ed. We are family men now and we are tired of big models with big guns at big prices, so we dusted our BBBs and we had a couple of games just with the armylists from the rulebook.
I love having Wave Serpents with 14/14/10 armor which I didn't have when the book came out, but my opponent would like to use his Emperor's Champion at full power, so I think we will switch to Codex Armageddon and Codex Craftworlds after a few games.
Anyway it would be useful a tactics thread for 3rd edition player, personally I don't remerber a lot of the tactics for winnning with Eldar, except more Wraithlords and more Starcannon.

Well, you could assault out of transports, so howling banshees might be a bit better. WLs were mean, and starcannons lethal, so sticking with those sounds like a plan. 3rd was a long time ago, and I never really got my eldar army off the ground back then, so can’t give a lot of specific advice.

Just be careful adding more stuff. 3rd was fairly well balanced straight out of the book, but codex creep was real and significant. When adding stuff, make sure it doesn’t toss your game balance out the window. You may have to tweak things to keep the fun.
