I love Imperial Fists to death, but after painting/working on the entire 3rd company for 40k, I am Yellowed out. and didn't want to start another yellow army.
I chose Sons of Horus because of Loken and Horus. I absolutely love the seafoam green they have as their color scheme. I love the Justaerin elite. Ever since I read the Horus trilogy I have been hooked.

Adding to my Iron Warriors. With two of these sets I now can field a 10 man Tyrant squad, infantry mobs and other PA troops or field an all terminator force led by Golg backed up by heavy vehicles and big flyers.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

Word Bearers!

They're just a wonderful army, both post and pre-heresy.

I have always liked the Salamanders in 40k. And have wanted to get into 30k but couldn't. Until BaC, so now the obvious choice for me is Salamanders.

I'm amazed at the even distribution in the poll. White Scars are low because jetbikes. Interesting that the two melee Legions, Wolves and World Eaters are also somewhat low. I guess Alphas are high because they can be any Legion?

Back on topic, the bulk of them will join my original BLACK Rogue Trader Dark Angel army. A few will join the late/post Hersey Death Guard and a few will become Word Bearers just for fun!

I'd pick the Word Bearers. They are an interesting lot.

If we're talking purely based off of what the contents of the box are most useful for, my vote is Iron Warriors. Plenty of Bolter Marines to benefit from their specific RoW, a captain outfitted perfectly to be Golg, and 5 Terminators because he makes them troops. Not to mention, 2 boxes is enough for 6 Missiles, enough to make their best unit, Iron Havocs with Missiles, and also extra Terminators are a very cheap base to make Tyrant Siege Terminators out of. And Contemptors are fun.

In 40k, I'm an Imperial fanboy all the way. 30k on the other hand, I'm really digging the heretics. I'd really like to do a traitor coalition of Word Bearers, Iron Warriors, and Night Lords.

I can't decide on what army I want to do... I'm stuck on either Imperial Fist or Space Wolves. I think i'm just waiting to see what there primarchs look like.

The Ultramarines, of course. The only legion that came out ahead in the heresy! The winners!

Aesthetically I'm a fan of the Death Guard and World Eaters, but my loyalty lies with the sons of Dorn - the Imperial Fists.

First time doing yellow en masse too, should be a fun exercise.

Scouring Era loyalist Death Guard.
Should be a fun little army to write some story for

NB: they all die at the end of the Scouring, so, I'm avoiding problems with shoe-horning them into the 40k era

I already have a large painted salamanders 40k army, plus have Vulkan and 10 firedrakes, so I'll likely give them a whirl.

I have two BaC boxes sitting unopended and will likely turn those into Iron Warriors. I love their lore, they're easy to paint, and their primarch is a beast.

I'm probably going to go with blood angels. I've always had a love for jump-pack marines, and this seems like a great excuse to finally get some started.
