Y'know for years people called for the return of the Squats until it became a joke.

But they did return.

Just not from GW.

So convince someone else to raise the Sisters banner!

And support the people who already have!

True, Kid_Kyoto, but it will never satisfy people who are "GW exclusive". It's like gamers who only play on PS4 or another console, because they just can't imagine buying from somewhere else/playing something else. It would be HERESY.

But since GW is first a miniature seller and isn't above releasing a small faction with few units from time to time, sisters can still happen.

Unless they are all eaten by the Tyranids, of course.

Meanwhile, Raging Heroes has all the time to release their own sisters. Even if I'm waiting more for the Fantasy version.

Not really.... the biggest reason I don't use non-GW models to represent GW armies is because it's rare that I can fully represent an army with a consistent aesthetic from 3rd party sources and I like my armies to have a consistent aesthetic and also be fully represented (eg. not using the same machine gun to represent several different weapon types).

It's the same reason I try to avoid mixing WW2 infantry from Plastic Soldier Company with infantry from Battlefront. Even though they're both WW2 models of the same size and I have no particular attachment to either company (owning plenty of models from both), they look dissimilar enough on the table that I find it irksome.

I think when people can fully create a GW army from 3rd party models AND it is an aesthetic they like AND the aesthetic is consistent AND they don't game in places which force you to use GW models.... in those circumstances I find people are quite open to 3rd party models.

Pfuh. Roginshirozz' fetish range

THANK YOU. I hate these models.

Somebody did a petition last year, and it did jack-diddly-squat. Expect the same outcome.

The post with the old quote about the Squats I find amusing.

When I left GW back in 2007 we had all the old molds for them in Memphis, on a shrink-wrapped pallet gathering dust.

I always wanted to try and test the molds to see if they were still in useable condition, but never got around to it.

I think what's going on at GW, just my perspective from taking to people I used to work with, is that they have so many ideas but not enough time/resources to realize them all.

I'm sure they'll make a return, as will Sisters, but it will take time.

Maybe with Specialist Games being resurrected with their own production cell that will take pressure off the main manufacturing staff for a more varied range.
