Tactical squads. Big, 20-man tactical squads.

They do their jobs and they hold objectives.

Are you sure you are still playing 40k, Ash?

I am playing 30k (which is an expansion), but yes.

They also do scary damage. Nothing like a melee unit deciding to come to close and eating 80 bolter shots for their efforts.

Psychic buffs like misfortune only adds to the fun.

Currently ongoing projects:
Horus Heresy Alpha Legion
Tyranids

Fiery Bright Wizard

2 20-man Tactical squads with Apothecaries and extra CCWs. As a pre-Heresy Death Guard player this gives me both durability, some decent fire power, and is one of the most fluffy options I can take for my legion.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

Guardsmen...... Just guardsmen, with a basilisk

"We're not just going to shoot the bastards. We're going to cut out their living guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks."
-The most imperial guard thing ever said.
The one rule I have in my threads: DONT TALK ABOUT THE ABRAMS.
That is it

Ancient Chaos Terminator

Surfing the Tervigon Wave...on a baby.

Core units? You mean what I always bring?

For my Death Guard - Typhus, his Terminator Retinue and their Land Raider. No matter what game, they come along.

For my Tyranids - I'd probably say my Venomthropes and Malanthrope. Cover bubble.

For my Eldar alliance - Dark Eldar Archon with Armour of Misery, Howling Banshee travel companions and a Raider.

Now only a CSM player.
