I think I played 1 Cities of Death mission.
Nobody wanted to do Planetstrike or Stronghold Assault.
Wasted money.

Can anyone confirm any differences from Stronghold assault?
I don't want specifics, just if there are any points differences, rules changes, etc that invalidate Stronghold assault and would require purchasing Planetary onslaught.
Thanx in advance

I mean I know how long it takes to get a book published (sometimes it was over a year before the stuff we did saw store shelves), but I thought mini-development was longer?
Or is that before the days of CAD miniatures?
Also, the model was possibly ready to ship before the rules were.
The model comes with its rules though.
So do most models now - they usually include the current models in a given Codex though?

Not seeing any real changes to the dataslates, the missions look like they will be a lot of fun though.

This. I don't see why people are complaining. They updated 3 books worth of material and combined it into a single book for the current edition. It also serves to broaden the appeal.
I never bought Planetary Assault or Cities of Death, because they didn't appeal to me enough to justify the price. The combined book has my interest because not only do I get the updated fortifications rules, but I'm getting the Planetary Assault and Cities of Death for free.

Limited shelf space. Always a problem in single-man stores.
Also, buying that 1 book you want gets you the others too (for just a couple of moneys more...)
