For those who think that 300 points riptides would be worthless.... 300 points is the cost of mork/gorkanaut.

The possibility of bringing more than 3 is totally wrong. And if they become worthless for 300 points it's only because tau have many other great units, they need to be nerfed.

Those 4-5 overpowered MCs are the reason of tanks being not viable. Dark eldar, orks, necrons, and tyranids MCs are not a problem at all, but those stormsurge, riptide, WK and some daemons psyker beasts are awfully too powerful.

The problem is not vehicles.

The problem is lack of damage tables for Monstrous and larger creatures.

That's what I think, vehicles are not an issue, some MCs (and the chance of spamming overpowered wargear like scatter lasers, D weapons, grav) are and make them useless in comparison.

Leviathan dreads are also around 300 pts and less durable than Riptides.

I voted for a redo of the vehicle rules.

Vehicles are such an integrated part of WH40K, that I don't think we should do away with them completely. However, having the Rogue Trader book here, in which vehicles do have a Toughness value and a Damage (D) capacity ( 'vehicular' for 'Wounds' ), and where the Lascannon deals 2d6 damage per hit...

Why even redo wgen we can just revert?
