I personally wouldn't mind if it was separated like this;

Space Marine Codex
-All Space Marines rules, no fluff

Militaries of the Imperium Codex
-Sisters, Inquisition, Guard... Ect rules, no fluff

Imperium Sourcebook
--Fluff for all armies

Xenos Codex
-Xenos rules, no fluff

Xenos Sourcebook
-Xenos fluff

Chaos Codex
-All Chaos rules, no fluff

Chaos Sourcebook
-Chaos fluff

All Space Marine chapters should be in a single book - your chapter choice is more color of armor than special rules; or at least, it should be. At the end of the day, a space marine is a space marine, no matter what chapter their from.

But as long as Space Marines remain the best selling (which they always will, since they get the most love, and because they get the most love, they sell well; viscous circle); this point is moot - the color of your armor will mean you get a unique snowflake book.

That, or every army gets a codex for each Klan/Craftworld/HiveFleet/etc.

But, that'll never happen - just like SM getting rolled into a single book; so this thread is just wishlisting.
