Ok, maybe I am biased because I don't really like Mortarion/DG, but there were (IMO) much better models in even just DG range than him. Abacus guy, fly Terminator, and various nurglings just ooze character and unique/fun design, while Morty is really just his 30K self with some bits and bobs added here an there...

Mortarion was a last minute award season release riding on the hype train. Celestine was released early in the year and the academy often fails to go back and appreciate early successes.

Would be nice. With so many models, I find it way more interesting to have a list of top contenders than just seeing who won overall. There's no context to the latter, and thus no fun in spinning the result one way or another,
