Nice! Really good job with the battle damage, freehands and the edge highlights.

That's badass, lovely freehand and so neat as always. Love the Leviathan Dread design, it's a great canvas for all kinds of effects and additions and you've really made the most of it here!

Any chance of a shot of the entire force? Must look pretty damn impressive at this point!

Thank you! Force picture is definitely on my to do list, promise I'll get around to it soon.

That's high praise, but I know I'm nowhere near that level and probably never will be. But thank you very much nonetheless

Oh my. Perhaps the best primaris I have seen. The style seems to suit the models perfectly and I don't see them as looking like toys now I have seen this. Especially the more goofy things (Redemptor and Repulsor in particular).

Thanks for sharing, and I look forward to seeing where this one goes. Are you getting the newer Shadowspear stuff?

Baron, don't forget to talk about the SEALs and Marines you habitually beat up on 2 and 3 at a time, as you PM'd me about.

Continues to be mightily impressive. The only thing I'm not in love with is the addition of the black on the shoulders of the Leviathan. I think it pushes it over to "too many colours", and I'd have liked it to jusy stay the Crimson Fist blue, methinks. The model is still stupidly gorgeous but it strikes me as odd compared to the rest of the models.

Thank you! The primaris stuff is definitely a departure from the much more archaic and gothic feel of the classic space marine aesthetic, but I think the models are beautiful in their own right and the proportions look so much better than the older stuff. Parts of the line are quite goofy I agree, but with some building choices and minor conversions you can get around it – for example, not putting all of the weapon choices on the Repulsor, which can get quite ridiculous. Also, I simply try to steer clear of the worst offenders; I don't care for Reivers at all, for instance.

I have split a Shadowspear box with a heretic friend of mine, so I'm excited to have that coming in soon – eager to get started on the snipers and Infiltrators. Something will definitely have to be done about the flying autocannon dudes, they are probably the silliest figures of the primaris line so far. Luckily, a lot of people already seem to have come up with smart workarounds.

Thank you for the kind words and the feedbackI was very torn on the shoulders, but I was worried it wouldn't look good to put the chapter and unit markings in circles because it might clash with the odd shape of the shoulders themselves. I agree that it sticks out a bit compared to the rest of the army but since I figure this guy's been around for a while (Leviathans were built on Terra during the great crusade after all) he is allowed some eccentricities

awesome job. I base my Crimson Fists the same color scheme, but what material do you use? love the texture.

Great looking army ... clean work ... great freehand stuff here and there. Only the anniversary captain looks a bit out of sorts when compared to the other models. Looks more rushed and unclean ...

They do look awesome... but I'm afraid you probably won't get your answer here... that last post was in April 2019, I don't think they're going to check back here. (ps welcome to the forum!)

Wonderful army, you've clearly mastered the Crimson Fist colour scheme - it's one that I find a bit flat in the official books but you've really made it work. The little details like the laurel on the Dreadnought helmet and the auspex on the 500th store special Lieutenant just bring them to life.

I think that this is the best painted Crimson Fist army I have ever seen.
Incredible!
