In the last couple of weeks, I have had people try to post comments on my website saying they hope I get terminally ill. I am, apparently, a cist on humanity’s corpse. Why? Because I’m hired to write children’s book for properties the commenters love.

I have to say right or wrong I laughed hard when I saw Matt Ward defending him.

They did! Problem was, that gave the impression that the person on the cover was solely responsible for everything in the book, whereas they were generally just the project lead. Sadly, the internet being what it is, this led to people being targeted by online hatemobs, which is why books no longer have credits. Basically, we can't have nice things because internet.

You keep saying this, but is there ACTUAL basis for this claim?

Of course. I want the miniatures, they are an interesting new concept to me. Additionally, I have uses for them in the RPG play.

Have you seen Wizkids' Wardlings minis? They are prepainted minis of fantasy setting kids but can probably be stripped or converted.

I picked these kids up for laughs. I like them and added them to a few of the Freebooters fate, and Reapers figures. I didn't even think to use them for 40k, though... hmmm....

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Games Workshop has really opened up the possibilities for licensing to other companies.

They do seem to be trying to keep the product lines from crossing over too much- but exactly where that line is is probably up for negotiation with any given product/company.

It is pretty likely that we'll see third party games that either use elements from these novels, or at least the art style presented.

And it is possible that we'll see minis from them. If we can go from past experience, the third parties won't be allowed to produce minis that are suitable for use in 40k and AoS, but otherwise, they're allowed.

I'm hoping we get to see some awesome Chibi sculpts.
