str +2 d3 damage is not a bad weapon

Low AP isnt always bad, you gotta remember that not everything is a marine. A LOT of bulky Nid, Ork and even IG models rely far more on their toughness and wounds than a high armor value.

Like eldar vehicles. Going from 4+ to 5++ is such a quick journey, and only t5 on those raiders means your actually a viable threat vs them in cc.

If you got to the point you are hitting eldar vehicles in CC with your shaman, something already went horribly wrong for one of you
