The Noise Marine sprue includes two heads that have what are effectively 'pacifiers', currently.

So, to my eyes Slaanesh is best viewed as excess, rather than just sonic kink sex (not a phrase I thought I'd be typing when I got up this morning).
For inspiration as to excess, let's look at the seven deadly sins from Christian teachings, as things based on these concepts are likely to resonate to some degree with potential customers. The sins are pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth.
I would say that we can exclude wrath, as that's covered by Khorne. We probably also don't need to add any new units for lust, as that's kinda covered by the Slaanesh Daemon line. This leaves us with pride, greed, envy, gluttony and sloth.
Pride in one's own abilities is what the EC were known for before they fell, so a duellist option (as someone mentioned earlier) ties in here. A Lucius resculpt would also fit, given taking pride in killing him is his respawn condition...
Gluttony in excess is an interesting one. Possibly a Terminator unit in one of the HH marks - Cataphractii? - which has fused with the wearer and expanded over time. Factor in obligatory toothy maw to eat you with - and avoid the rips and exposed viscera that is a Nurgle design cue, and there might be something here.
Sloth is an awkward one, but there's an argument for a heavy weapon unit based around it, I guess. After all, the unit doesn't want to move once deployed, so they may as well have the weapons that allow them to contribute from a distance.
Envy might also fall under the duellist heading - always looking to challenge those they think are better than them.
Greed is also tricky - for some reason, my mind went to a psyker who is looking to steal other people's powers, but a, I'm not sure how multiple of that unit co-exist; and b, I suspect such a unit would be a balancing nightmare. EC stealing Doom, for example?

Anything that's 'fat' is just going to look Nurgley.
I've always seen a fairly obvious parallel between Slaanesh and the 'destruction of an Empire' interpretation of the biblical Death on the Pale Horse.
I think if you want to give Slaanesh a distinct identity, make them Eldar-slayers. Retain the allusions to sensation, excess and pleasure, the androgyny, the whips and the leather and just make them really good at killing Eldar.
You know, the Empire Slaanesh destroyed.

I;m hoping Slaanesh will be next myself, and I'm really wishlisting (but to be clear, I DO NOT EXPECT) that Slaanesh will get some beastmen. Hopefully of the serpent-men variety that can be classic serpent-men in fantasy and Laer survivors in 40k

I think Lorgar/word bearers release opposite the plastic sisters release next year *fingers crossed* would be cool. Seeing the two religious zealots going head to head in might and word feels fitting.

The Christian 'Seven Deadly Sins' concept of Sloth is not mere laziness, it is despair, apathy and self-pity. In other words, it's already thoroughly covered by Nurgle and about as far away from Slaanesh as it's possible to get.

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry. |

on e thing I thinbk Slaanish should be about is precision/perfection, so I could see a slaanishi unit being the "chaos sniper"

You might get away with it if you really lean into the opulence of the design. Just completely burden the armour down with gold, gilt and gargoyles. They should look like walking palaces with Henry VIII's head sticking out.

No, I think he has a point. Nurgle models are very much fat, but also leaking pus and intestines and maggots. Dem bishes be nasty.
He's talking decadence. Big, heavy, overly blinged out armour. Fat and rich. Bright orange hair Vanity and narcissistic superiority. Might work.
Would, basically, be the Chaos version of Custodes, which would be fair as it would balance things a bit.

Mr Nobody wrote:I've seen a million discussions about the next primarch to return to the 40k setting, but not much about the demon primarchs. We have the horus heresy models, to be sure, but now is the perfect opportunity to see them in all their demonic horror. Mortarion and Magnus have both been impressive models and I imagine the others would be too. Not to mention that, lore wise, they're just waiting for a good excuse to get off their thrones. No need to worry about resurrections and like the loyalist. Well... except Konrad. So give me your predictions, or tell me what you think the coolest choice would be.
How about Angron? Armageddon could do with a round two for chaos and it's already rife with warp incursions at the moment.
Fulgrim would be a good choice now that Guilliman is back. I imagine both would be rather pissed to see the other is still standing.
It would quite the twist if Lorgar came out and confessed that he had been building the Maelstrom this entire time.
Really hope its Angron, plus I need new Berzerker models.

Be careful with what you hope for. With the way GW goes around these days new "berserkers" will be completely different unit that does not appear similar or follow similar rules. Like the new buggies that look radically different and are not going to be usable with original rules(indeed original buggy rules will likely be left index only).
So you might get half naked angry berserkers with new weapons rather than new berserkers.

Well I've got high hopes after seeing how good they updated thousand sons, so I don't think they will go all slowed like some of the DG models, some were amazing, some were just ridiculous, but you are right, its GW.
