It's because of the way the tail is erupting from between the two hind legs. Because the hind legs are reverse human design the place the tail is growing out of would be the groin rather than the "rear" of that half of the beast. It's how the old fiend was, however they've really done well in giving it more human style legs without making it appear too human.

I lay in bed last night somewhere between sleep and wakefulness when a thought appeared to me: There will be an Emperor's Children/Slaanesh kill team! Perhaps it will be a team for Blackstone Fortress? I don't know if we will have a Slaanesh-themed team for Shadespire but I wouldn't be surprised. The annoying thing was that, because they were all metal - they never stood up without adding weights to the base, even then they were still apt to flop over
