I emailed GW with this mentioning Galef for starting this great idea chain:
In addition to Bolter discipline.
"When a model with this rule makes a shooting attack and the firing models target is within a half of the weapons maximum range, roll 1 exra dice"

Also, I added something to bolter discipline.
Maybe they could add this to the standing still clause:
"Exclude storm bolters and their varients, as the added recoil and rate of fire makes them less accurate at long ranges"

I feel the Bolter discipline would make the strong DW storm bolter vet strike even stronger, and these addtions would counter that but still encourage them to get in close where they are more susceptible to mass shooting without nerfing terminators and the like because of the 3rd clause.

I also hinted at 2 extra dice but called it an immature wish xD
