I'd argue that's still a type of enjoyment. In professional sports, etc. you'd hope that even the loser of a game or race enjoyed being there and was actively part of the process. As a tournament player that's what you signed up for - now do some people who don't like tournaments sign up for them anyway? Yep, and I have no idea why. I mean, no one likes to lose, but you still should act like an adult and respect each other.
You can beat somebody and still treat them with respect. Likewise, someone can lose and not flip the table or start bad-mouthing you.
