I think if everytime someone mentioned or ordered sushi you spent the next hour ranting about how you hated it you'd get few invites to dinner very very fast

Of course.

It's illustrative of how far you've had to stretch to make my behaviour seem unreasonable though, isn't it? I haven't burst through a wall to randomly interject my opinion that sushi sucks into a discussion on traffic-systems. The thread topic is sushi. You're all talking about sushi. I haven't said sushi sucks and then just banged on and on about it.

But since you've made me engage the subject again, it isn't at all hyperbolic. GW's fiction is a literary Bob Ross; the whole looks quite good, from a distance, if you kinda squint, but if you get up close and really look at it, it's just a terrible, terrible, muddy mess. Good forests, gakky trees.

Basically every story boils down to "because Spehss Mahreens", "because Chaos" or "a Sorceror/Daemon/Wizard/Warp-Rip did it".

I don't know about you but I thought the sushi reference was about Martel insisting on whining about the lore in the background forum despite the fact it was annoying.

I'm definitly quite new to Warhammer, but from what I gathered and the general feeling of the setting I also don't think Terra will fall. My Impression is that on all battlefields so far, the Imperium had some difficult decisions on how much recources they are willing to invest to win. Like how many regiments are we willing to pull out of warzone A to win warzone B. In case of an attack on Terra there would hardly be a discussion and the Imperium would go all in. So far I don't see another power being strong enough for that. (That's my opinion of course)

Non the less I find it interesting to think about the reactions of the other powers facing the possibility of the Imperium collapsing. So far, it holds a lot of dangerous stuff at bay. The Tau as well as the Eldar might think the Imperium keeping up the fight against Tyranids, Orks and Chaos is preferable to fighting these forces alone. However xenophobic the Imperium is.

Tau and Eldar are keep to them self, Eldar are trying not to extinct their races and Tau are curious races. That is why not many writers about them.

Ork love to fight for no reason and they are salvage races. Chao love to twists and Chao Space Marine always betrayal and invaders.. This is why writers always write about them... it’s easy for them to made up a story.

Tyranid are little hard to write because if writers plan to destruction of planet it will have to be big. So it’s always so small for writers to write the story. Aka Genestealers or Lictor season is easier for them.

Imperialism? They are us! That is why writers always write about them.

Genestealers Cult? It’s like CSI or crimes programs...

For me, as far as I know that Eldar, Tau and Ork don’t interest in terra. I believe it’s Tyranid and Genestealers Cult will break the terra. Because it had to be big and add Chao + Chao Space Marine as cherry on top of icies.

Hey, don’t gak on Bob Ross. He’s amazing, and you feel the need to measure penises over sushi or some other stupid gak in a thread about Terra falling.

Go reverse-eat a pineapple. Quit bothering geeks that are just trying to hypothesize about the end game.

in fairness the 'nids do nom a lot of big worlds but when they do it's always "this world is big, it's really important.. but you've never heard of it before now"

I mean the number of worlds in the IoM that we've heard of basicly amount to "terra, Mars, and faction home worlds" ohh and whatever world GW has decided to stage a big battle on (which is always a case of "THIS WORLD IS IMPORTANT!" even though we've never heard of it) sometimes GW does make the worlds sound important but build up is oft needed. which is the problem, generally when a world gets trashed it's one that no build up has occured and thus we don't feel it's important. course even when GW destroys an important world people are quick to dismiss why it's irrelevant even when it's proven to be VERY important.
Exhibit A oif this: Cadia

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I love Bob Ross, FWIW, like a brother from another mother. I have his face on my chest, right this second.

He's not a 'good' artist, though. His sense of perspective is whacked and he only knows two compositions.

The Fall of Kronstaat IV
Война Народная | Voyna Narodnaya | The People's War - 2,765pts painted (updated 06/05/20)
Волшебная Сказка | Volshebnaya Skazka | A Fairy Tale (updated 29/12/19, ep10 - And All That Could Have Been)
Kabal of The Violet Heart (updated 02/02/2020)

All 'crimes' should be treasured if they bring you pleasure somehow.

The man is (was ) a magician that turned blank canvas into art in a half hour, while lulling the audience into an inexplicable sense of calm and safety. He could have been painting cow pies... the man was a modern miracle. I don’t know about art, but I know what I like.

“You need some dark to put the light in. So we’ll start with a black background for this painting. Now, don’t be afraid, we’re going to take a 1” brush and start blocking in the Golden Throne. Don’t be too worried about the details, we’ll be adding the Emperor and a couple happy little Custodes. Everybody needs a friend. Maybe another little Custodes over here peeking out from behind the throne...”
