I completely agree that more power creep is bad, but GW at this point does not seem to be on that page. The buffs to Multi-Meltas at the beginning of this edition definitely trivialized T8 vehicles way more than usual. Also some vehicles that had T8 lost it, such as the Sisters Exorcist, which only made those vehicles worse especially since Exorcists in particular lost AP on their anti-tank missiles which was further hurt by Armor of Contempt. That tank is a perfect example of a model ruined by general power creep in the game.
Unfortunately, GW's answer to "power creep is bad" IS "more power creep will fix it" so T9 vehicles have entered into the game in at least larger numbers than before, even if they are still a small part of the vehicles any faction can reasonably bring.
There is definitely a debate to be had on if what GW is doing and has done in 9th is correct for 40k going forward, but this discussion accepts that the answer to power creep for GW is more power creep. When that changes we can have a different discussion, but until that point we are entering into a period of the game of 40k where needing to reliably wound T9 vehicles will become more necessary than it ever has before.
Therefore, in that world of 40k, I would like every faction to have a fair shot of reliably wounding T9 vehicles without needing one use weapons or to spend CP each turn on +1 to wound stratagems. If there is only one option in many books that does it that's fine but let's make sure there is at least an option for each book.
