Lustful Cultist of Slaanesh

Finished up the raptos at last!

Squad Flappy, the 2 on the right are the old base/drybrush/wash while the 3 on the left are the new speedpaints. I rather like how much better the contrast works on the wings.

And Squad Fwooshy, the two with long hair and the leader are the new speedpaints.

Gotta say, I think the results are coming out nicely. The speedpaints are pretty well on par with the other method and take a fraction of the time. I did add some drybrushing to the skin on the speedpainted models though, the pink comes out a bit dark otherwise which shows especially on the wings so a touch of bright pink drybrush did the trick.

Thought I'd start on converting the paragon warsuits to obliterators. I think the idea will turn out interesting though I don't know how much of the actual warsuit will still be visible by the timme I add all the kitbashing bits.

After looking at that though, I opted to order some more thermoplastic to help with molding enough bits for all the oblits. In the meantime, I'll work on a Master of Possession conversion from an old Hordes mini.

Master of Possession is headed into paint soon.

May not show great in this pic, but there's also a big slaanesh mark carved in the base. And she's got a sacred number of arms, for giggles. It was fun building this from an old pile-of-shame model and a fist full of bitz-bin parts.

Great master of possession conversion, that's a very weighty looking staff.

Thanks! Just finished up with the painting on her, too. I was going to just make her blond at first, but the color didn't look quite right on its own so I ended up opting for Sunset Shimmer hair to pattern after the flames a bit more and I think it worked out better.

A little tricky to get a good pic of the icon on the base but I think you can see it fairly well in the last photo.

I like how easy these paints work for laying some colors out in a simple layering gradient like on the flames. Gems and glowing eyes have also gotten much simpler to give a decent look for so little time and effort.

The thermoplastic has also arrived, so back into working on the Obliterator conversions next.
