But, folks. People have lost their lives, or so it seems at the time of typing.

Do not celebrate that. Ever. Yes I’m that lefty. They had family. They had friends. And death always sucks.

Belt up.

Well said.

The family of the 19 year old has said that he had expressed fear and hesitation at going but did it because dad wanted him to do it for Father's Day.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

I wonder about the people still on the mothership that would have gone down in the sub the previous day or were waiting their turn to go down the next day. There had to be more people who had paid for the trip, but were still on the ship, right?

So, an example of what happens with implosion.

But there was a lot more pressure where they were.

Keep in mind that this is done by atmospheric pressure from outside, e.g. by normal air pressure.

Water pressure in the depths this ship was last heard of is in the range of 250 - 350 times that depending on how deep they were when the hull failed.

Whilst I wouldn’t wish such a doom on anyone? At least it was mercifully swift.

Which let’s be honest? Is about as much as we could hope for.

I am going to lock this now, as the fate of the submersible and its occupants is now known to us.
