With the basing finished I am calling this done. Just need to seal but that will be in a few days when the weather is better in my area.

Struggled with free time this month, when I did get time to paint it was usually quite late and didn't get much done.

I managed to base coat the little gargant but he's not finished, I had enough time to get the little guy that is fleeing from the giants done though so just entering him.

He took longer than expected, I messed up the tartan first attempt towards the end and decided to redo it.

Just waiting on phone charging then I'll take some finished photo's.

Work in progress:

Some very nice final day entries coming in here, those trousers are outrageous Pursuit Of Happiness and great job for getting a knight done PouterHiro.

My entry is a on the smaller side, just a fun little conversion while I focus on painting and building bigger things (a house). It turned out quite well even if the painting is a little sloppy in places.

Ork Deffkopta Plane conversion

Proofs (need to get better at posting these during the actual month again)

Didn't get the full parade finished, but got a couple of boar boyz done, kinda getting the flags/music/cavalry parade combo

Sneaking in at the wire, although half of my entry is REALLY poor even by my standards. The starship USS Kongo responds to an urgent call for help from a nearby planet only to find said planet under threat from a planet-eating automaton, or such is the story that my two minis might tell. Here are the final pics:

So I'm pretty happy with how the Planet Killer turned out, but the Kongo looks, well, terrible! It seems as if I can't freehand to save my life. I actually did most of it in the first few days of the month and because it looks, well, like this I just didn't have the heart to work on it anymore, and now it's too late. Between lacking a good set of detail brushes and not being able to hold my hands still (I usually have too much sugar and/or caffeine in my system) I just can't paint straight lines very well. Maybe I need to look into those paint pens or something for fine detail work like this. Part of the trouble I was having was that paint was wanting to dry on my brush before I could get it to the model. Certainly before I could do more than a couple of strokes. So I was having to clean my brush over and over again, which I'm sure was hard on it. Oh well, lessons learned and maybe next month I can actually paint something that doesn't look like a sleepy toddler did it.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Vote thread up.

Light month for entries. Wonder if it was the topic, time of year, or just life getting in the way.

those trousers are outrageous

Hehe cheers. Noticed a white dwarf reader sent in some really nice dark red tartan robes on their stormcast mini's in issue 509 and thought I would give it a go
