I ordered some stuff on 4/5 (shipped 4/6) but hasnt arrived yet..... at this point my patients has worn thin.

I've been using just the contact us form under the order summary. Though the last question I sent over has yet to be answered, so I'm not sure how much they follow their email. Did you get a tracking number for your order?

No tracking, just an email saying it shipped with the order #. Suppose I'll have to contact my bank and void the payment.

Personally, I would not consider anything lost from east Europe until 6 weeks later. International shipping can be a beast. I often get packages from my grandma in Germany 2 months later.

I suppose I could wait awhile longer.... I will research the time constraint my bank has on revoking payment though and give it about that long.

Honestly, and really not trying to sound like a jerk here, if waiting longer than a month is a problem for you then you shouldn't order anything from Europe in the future; especially eastern Europe.

Not sure about Puppet's War stock, but I know that Neil at TheWarstore.com does stock quite a few bits from eastern European companies in his store. His website will let you know if something is not in stock, and he might be able to add new stuff in interest is high enough. His communication is great and delivery is always fast. So maybe that could be an option in the future.

I love ordering stuff from the European sites, and places like Puppet's War do crank out some high quality stuff. But I realize that 6 weeks is not unreasonable.

Blood-Drenched Death Company Marine

Got my VSE Heavy motorcycles through the post today. Shipping notification on saturday, so I deem that quick. Another Polish company posted things here to Britain in a similarly timely fashion. I guess trans-English Channel transportation is a little easier than trans-Atlantic.

Anyway, the kits themselves are great. No mold release, very little flash, very few issues requiring clean up (certainly less than I've had with other resin kits) and they look like they'll fit together really easily.

Very satisfied customer who may get a third one when those manned turrets come out.

With those animal shoulder pads, would they look alright on a marine, or are they best suited for terminators?

Those Bloodbowl Orc heads would also look great as helmeted Ork heads for 40K. Not sure what you'd use the football for though...

Err... do you swim there with the parcel in a waterproof bag??

Joking aside that is a very long time.. UK standard Airmail to the US takes 5-10 days normally, sometimes 2/3 weeks max if there are hold ups at customs or it gets sent to the wrong place or whatever.

On a more positive, note, absolutely loving the new bikers!!!

Today I recieved the 9 Cyber Arthropods I ordered on 04-26.12, a 2 week waiting time from order to receipt...not bad. Now the bad news. I did recieve everything I ordered but there were quite a few parts that had detached from their sprues and some of those were broken but still usable. The box they were shipped in was made of thin cardboard, not thick enough to withstand the rigors of overseas shipping, and there was not enough packing materials inside to keep the items from moving around and getting dammaged.

If anyone from Puppet's War reads this I would reccomend using a thicker cardboard for your boxes and more packing material (bubble wrap would be excelent for this) in the boxes to protect the items within.

The problem with this is that you can't use it as an excuse for a
business. Whether it's the postal service or not the company is the one
taking a hit. You, as a business, take the financial hit and the public
opinion hit. If it is such a problem, have the option to pay for dhl or
a third party shipper that doesn't suck. You as a business have a
level of expectation to meet-you can either meet it or fail.

It's pretty clear i'm not the only one with a low opinion on this
company. Simple solution-find another way to guarantee your
product to the states or stop shipping to them.

Waiting almost 2 months for what I ordered is absurd in any situation.

I'm almost at 4 weeks. I ordered 12 Anthropods and 6 Cyber Beatles.. so I'm hoping they put some packaging in there so it's not all crushed to death.

You're assuming it's a big problem.

From my experience, most people are well aware that international shipping can have some odd delays and factor it in when deciding to buy internationally. Poland isn't the only country with this sort of issue. Airmail parcels from Australia to the UK or the US can also take up to 6 weeks to arrive. They shouldn't... it's only supposed to take 5 to 10... but from time to time they do. That's not all down to the choice of shipping company. Parcels can sit at the destination country's Customs office for up to a month if they're running a little behind.

I can't speak for Puppet's War, but for myself, I don't offer international priority options simply because when I did nobody bothered with them... They're just too expensive to make it worthwhile for stuff the size of miniatures. I got far more complaints about how much 'I' was asking for international courier shipping (which I was charging at cost) than I did people actually wanting to use it. So in the end, it was better for business to just not offer it in the first place.

Right now we have included the option for express shipping,
which should speed up the process substantially, you can get your package much faster, but at a price.

And you're making an even bigger assumption that I don't understand basic principles of distance.

How does offering an option increase cost of base shipping?

Clearly there is a problem WITH Polish shipping if they, themselves, admit it with others chiming in with the same opinion.

Well if you do not wish to wait for a couple of months for your order then maybe best not to order from Europe, it is as easy as that.
No one, not even a third party shipping company can call the shots at customs in alot of countries.

No, see-it's not as easy as that and that's ridiculous logic. I've ordered from Europe plenty of times and at max was 3 weeks. Anecdotally, how was I suppose to know that this would be different?

I really do dislike the white knights. Instead of acknowledging and accepting the idea that there might be a problem you simply spew flawed logic to defend it. Cool story.

There is a difference between explaining and defending.

Either way, I think this has veered far enough off topic. If people really want to discuss the intricacies of international shipping, a separate thread would be more appropriate.
