Subject: 500pt Welves for escalation league. Can I get away with this?

I am really struggling to write this list... As the months continue these units have to stay in the army, I will definitely be adding wildriders, waywatchers and eagles but can this list do ok at this points level?
The normal army building rules apply of course, but no Rare Choices until Month 3.
at the moment I've got
Spellsinger, Lvl 2, Steed
5 Glade Riders, Musician, TrueFlight
5 Glade Riders, Musician, TrueFlight
5 Sisters of Thorn, Musician
I think I'm 5pts over which means I need to drop something, maybe a musician off one of the Glade Riders. They'er Fast Cav so can afford to lose the reform right?
Anyway the plan is simple, lots of movement and Fast Cav shenanigans. The Sisters should be fine on their own till the Cavalry turns up (hahah)
As for the lore on the Spellsinger I am totally undecided.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Is all Cav ok at such low points or shall I start from scratch with blocks of Glade Guard? If I do I don't think i'll be able to keep the Sisters as getting 3 units is a struggle.

What are the rules of the escalation? Do you have to keep the units throughout? Glade riders suffer from ambush and all of the WE core suffers from being over costed. IMO
Musicians are not needed necessarily, the GR are so fragile, they will probably not last to use the horn. When below 25%, they need double ones.
Magic is less effective at low levels unless you spring for a lvl3 caster and she can deal some damage. You have no offensive damage output in this list.
I'd stick to minimum core (1 unit of GR if you must) and then get something that will smack people around
10 str 3 arrow shots that might not even come on the battlefield when you want will not win any gams. Automatically Appended Next Post: My experience with small point games is the armies with the cheapest core and cheapest way to abuse the magic phase usually perform the best. WE have none of these traits and the new book neutered so many of our options that I would be hard pressed to use them in games under 1500. But if this is just for fun, then I would try themes, all forest spirit, all bird units, war dancers' ball, etc

You have to keep the same units throughout but can change numbers and wargear and add new units obviously. Automatically Appended Next Post: Maybe I should write my end 2400pt list first and work back from there? That way I can work out what I want it to end up like and then make smaller lists of it.

You realize you only have 6 models on the board turn 1, right? That must be some kind of record! This list will be annoying as all fudge to play against as you will never get a charge off! Your magic should be fine, 2 almost unkillable level 2's should be more then enough.
You have no combat unit, but you can get around that by being tricky as feth to get into a charge with. The Sisters *can* fight in combat if they need to, but do not send them into more then 10 Archers without Shield of Thorns. I would pick up Ruby Ring of Ruin on the Mage by dropping a Muscian or two to assure that Magic Missile.
Apart from that, just realize if the enemy takes enough shooting you lose, if they don't then you win. It will not be a fun game for the opponent either way...

Yeh I realise this, wood elf shooting is going to lose to other shooting most times as it is generally more expensive to have a mobile shooty army than a static one. Even a static Welf army can't outshoot dwarf/empire static gunlines as no warmachines. I'm not complaining because that isn't what woodelves do and its not how I want to play.
