Does anyone know of an easy solution to forest floor basing?

Like a static grass but dead leaves or something?

Had a look but can't find anything.

Fallen leaves? One of the simplest things.

Option A: Tea bags. Get some green tea, some roibos. Mix it and thow on the base.

Option B: Get some dry fallen leaves from the nearby trees. Grind them a bit to get small splinters. Sieve if you have a fine sieve. Stick it on the bases.

Option C: get fine sawdust. Use various paints to paint some of it in brown, red, orange and yellowish hues. Mix and apply to base.

There's no such thing as Fallen Leaves. Leaves are, and have always been incorruptible servants of the Emperor. To suggest otherwise is HERESY!

You tell me...

I've used tea leaves. Just brush on your pva glue and apply as needed. You test it first see if you like it

For overall ground cover I use dried and shredded basil leaves, you can get this at shops like Home Bargains, for a pound a tub that'll last forever.

I scatter a few 'shaped' leaves (from Basecrafts) on top of this cover to add detail in certain places.

I use PVA to stick the leaves in place, then when the PVA has dried I drip Sand & Gravel Fixer over the leaves to set them in place.

A very light drybrush with Tyrant Skull helps blend them into the scenery.

As ever, making a test base with your latest materials is always a good idea and costs almost nothing except time.

There is a type of tree bark that you can use.

Edit:

Birch bark, dry it and crackle it in your fingers.

Or buy http://elementgames.co.uk/secret-weapon/scenic-effects/masterclass-scenics-fallen-leaves-fall-color-mix
