Marvel and Netflix’s “Daredevil” has found its Wilson Fisk in Vincent D’Onofrio, Marvel announced Tuesday.

Wilson Fisk, aka “the Kingpin,” is a powerful businessman whose interests in the future of Hell’s Kitchen will bring him into conflict with the blind attorney Matt Murdock and his alter ego, Daredevil. The role was played by Michael Clarke Duncan in the 2003 “Daredevil” movie.

“We’re incredibly proud to have an actor with the gravitas and versatility of Vincent joining ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ in such an integral role,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of television. “Wilson Fisk is an iconic villain whose cunning and power make him the dangerous equal of our hero.”

D’Onofrio is known for his work in “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” “Men in Black,” “Full Metal Jacket” and “Homicide.”

Charlie Cox will play Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

“Spartacus” creator Steven S. DeKnight will executive produce the series and serve as showrunner, with Loeb and Drew Goddard executive producing.

Edit: In the preview the link for Charlie Cox works but on the regular screen it is not so removing it for the time being.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

Should be good. Vincent D'Onofrio can play a pretty mean bad guy. His turn as Private Pyle is still amazing every time I watch it. Didn't he play a psycho in 'The Cell' as well?

He did. He was also Edgar in MIB.

I can't remember a performance of his that I didn't enjoy, so I think he'll do a great job.

I think the important thing to be asking is: will he shave his head or wear a bald cap?

Emperor's Eagles (undergoing Chapter reorganization)
Caledonian 95th (undergoing regimental reorganization)
