Either weapon wil be paired up with artificer armor and a combi melta. Marshal will be with Crusader squad in a LRC.

Choice seems to come down to I5 or AP2.

Burning Blade? That way you keep both I5 and AP2

As well as Blind and +3 Str as opposed to +2 from Relic blade. Not quite as strong as the PF, but the Marshall's combat re-rolls should help mitigate that.

I'd recommend taking a look at the Teeth of Terra as well, it's basically an awesome relic blade!

I heard strike down and rampage were nerfed in the new rules.

Burning blade is awesome to be sure but it's twice as expensive as the other options. Maybe on a Chapter Master I'd see it being worthwhile.

Personally, I'd take the relic blade, either option is good but I'd prefer to keep the initiative, and the BT chapter tactic tips it towards that, as you have rending in challenges which you should be trying as much as possible with the re-rolls on the hit as well

Templars - 4500pts
Excoriators - 1500pts

Both are bad choices. I'd take the Burning Blade or ToT.
