Its battery powered so it can be mobile or usb to sit on my paint/computer desk. Not sure if I want to add this to something bigger or just give the base a good paint job.
Oh wow that's a really awesome idea. I think someone posted the dimensions of the actual generator here on dakka so you could make it similar to that if you wanted.
If I were you I would bulk it out the proper dimensions and add a base and some towers to make it look like its "contained" inside.
From what I remember those "plasma balls" do heat up a fair bit so you might need to be careful how additions are put on but I think it has great potential.
I have been running this one for awhile now its not getting hot. It may be its size. Yeah I will look around for dimensions and make it look more then just a globe.

Nice, That looks pretty awesome. I would definitely want to do something like that. I want to make sure its the proper size. This one looks to be a much larger globe.
