Tyberos & LC Termies roll around in the LRR with Obj. Secured and beat face. They are there to take objectives from people. The Captain is a tank for the Bike Squad, which is Obj. Secured as well and highly mobile. Also, I can split the bikers to have a tank-hunter squad (Combi, Multimelta) and an anti-MC/TEQ/MEQ unit with the Captain and the Gravs, etc. The Tac Pods come down onto objectives and hold them as needed - splitting if I need to take more or staying whole if I need durability. Melta and Combi-Melta mean they can bust a piece of armor if needed and the ML gives them a bit of reach, just in case. Most of the squad is decked with CCWs, too, meaning they get that extra attack. The Stormtalons clear the skies as best as they can. The TFC tears up infantry from afar. The Assault Squad is a suicide flamer squad to kill off cheap, flimsy units trying to hold out-of-the-way objectives and swing it in my favor. That gives me 5-8 Obj. Secured units, depending on Combat Squad needs.

I know I have zero psykers and that is just because I couldn't really fit them in, sadly. If only I could have squeezed in another HQ slot. C'est la vie.

Looks very solid, I really can't think of anything to change. The list, and plan, seem fine.

I wouldn't worry about psykers, as you'll either be playing a list with a couple, in which case you'll have enough dice to throw at the worst power, or with so many that your own psychic potential would be shut down anyway.

Yeah this list is very good. The only thin I can think of is if there were some way to upgrade the Captain to a Chapter Master so you could get the orbital bombardment. If so, you could start him attached to the TFC in some cases and flip your orbital off of it's other small accurate barrage shots.. Just a possibility. Plus the shield eternal really shines on a 4W model. Maybe dropping the missile launchers and melta bombs from assault squad gets you close?

Other than that, I was looking for a way to upgrade a stormtalon to a raven for better air superiority and also so they could enter together with the talon as an escort, but short of dropping some bodies it doesn't seem to work :(

Overall this is a very solid list as it stands and your plan sounds great!

Can't do another Chapter Master with Tyberos present.

Any thoughts on the Missiles? Worth it or just opt for something else?

Honestly the only heavy weapons I ever take in tac squads are multimeltas, and only for specifically snap firing at damn Nightschythes that crap out warriors on me and are within 12" melta range of a lucky snapshot haha. It's also not a bad idea to have more melta with dedicated troop transports being able to flat out to you and contest now.

I'd swap the missiles for multimeltas and give the captain digital weapons or something, maybe an auspex because 4+ cover is EVERYWHERE now

Or, you could upgrade the pods to have deathwind launchers now instead of missiles on the tacs since you now arrive at combat speed and can use them the same turn you arrive.. Also not a bad deterent for gribblies trying to contest late game.

What about tossing the Meltabombs off the Biker Sarge and the MLs in favor of Multimeltas on the Tacs and a Power Axe on the Biker Sarge?
