Hey y'all, I have a question. What are the best cameras for taking pics. I am using a Pentax at the moment, but I am not getting enough from it. I have a picture booth (I promise not to use the red background again) but I want a better picture quality. If you have any suggestions, please send it.

How much are you wanting to spend is the first question you need to answer. If you're looking for high quality professional images, your in the $1000.00 us range. Much of that is buying used equipment which I suggest you do.

I am looking at a decent high pixel medium priced camera. 200-300 dollar range.

thats a tough price range, you're going to get the best bang for the buck at that range with a fixed lens, Canon power shot or the like. But if I were you I would save up till I had about 450.00 and get either a canon or nikon used. You should be able to pick up one with a nice lens or two for that price. Research research research. Only you know what you want if for so the more you research the better off you are. If you want to take photos of models I suggest a zoom macro lens, just make sure you get one that does not force you to lock in the focus ring.
