came into a army from a friend that is largely hormagaunts and gargs and im wondering what synapse creatures mesh well with them?

I was thinking about having a large screen wave of gargs followed by a large swarm of hgaunts following behind ... and maybe model up some infested imperial guard and ally in some anti-tank with come the apoc

A Winged Tyrant, or two is pretty much "the standard". They will work very well with a Gargoyle screen as well. I usually have one or two Broods of Warriors (I recomend one) and some Zoanthropes. You'll also be happier if you toss in a Venothrope Brood as well.

I've posted a few "gaunt centric" lists in Army Lists, and in the mega thread of buggy goodness! So you might take a look, to get ideas.

I really like the idea of Genestealer Cultist Traitor Guard.

One idea might be some shrikes. They can keep up with the gargs and horms while providing synapse and warrior goodness. Just a thought on a cheap unit that can provide everything you want plus some additional shooting.

I always forget about shrikes, I would try those and/or zoes. Zoes are really solid right now if you take multiple psykers. If you are not taking enough you might find them alittle stressed to use powers effectively.

Flyrant, Tryong Primes, Warriors for the Endless swarm are all good synapes
