Okay, so I've presently been running an 1850 list. One of the ghost arks has 4 nightmare shrouds and yesterday I encountered a situation where I killed a riptide's drone and he had to take a morale test for losing 25% of his unit.
Then I fired all 4 nightmare shrouds at the riptide, thus the riptide had to take 5 morale tests(60% chance of failure).
My question was on how you handle the morale tests after you've failed. I decided to play it as they're ignored and you make one fall back move, but there was someone in my group who was convinced that you then fail every morale test still required and thus run 2D6 for every failure.
In this game, it would have resulted in the riptide running 6D6" off the board when he was about 14" away.

First off we don't need your army composition to answer this question so I don't know why you posted it.
As for the question, the rulebook is clear that falling back doesn't prevent a unit from taking morale checks and no where does it have a cap on morale checks so yes the riptide would totally needed to take 5 morale checks.

And so would it run 2D6 for every morale test remaining after the fail?
