Hi all!
Now, everyone, i'm offering up my tyranid horde. Alas, i'll be sad its gone, but its time to work on some projects I can actually handle. This is a great deal, but I hope they'll go to a better home than mine. Nothing is painted, some isn't even primed. Inquire away, I will answer all your questions to the best of my ability.
First off, the most important thing to the army, HQ:
Forge World Winged Hive Tyrant with Scytals
If there is one thing people hate, it's a huge flying monster. Release your inner beast, tool him up and eat the emperors finest!
6 Winged Tyranid Warriors
If there's no tyrant on foot, there's no tyrant guard...so what better a retinue than a brood of insanely effective warriors?
GW 3rd ed tyrant
Tool him up with a venom cannon and take some heat off your flying beast. He's a little guy, he fits under the wing span of the flyrant.
Now, it's time for the second obligatory choice in your new army: Troops
26 hormogaunts
These guys are one of the fastest moving infantry units in the game. They act as a tarpit against the enemy, forcing them to react to you, and grabbing time for your slower but harder hitting forces to slam into their weakened force.
26 spinegaunts
These guys are great. At 1/3! the point cost a space marine, you can easily outnumber, and in that blast them off of your feeding grounds!
34 termagaunts
As if 52 beasties weren't already enough 34 more hit the gaming table! Cheap, effective and hard hitting, they can blast holes into MEQ's, or wipe out entire low-save units like orks with a single volley.
8 gene stealers
These are without a doubt the terminators of your force. They eat through MEQ's, tanks, commanders, skimmers, basically anything! With rending they're invincible once they hit combat.
Now for the fun stuff: Heavy Support:
2 New style Carnifexes
These models are huge. Whopping beasts firing venom cannons and disintergrating models is a strangely pleasing effect, and you can't do badly with a St. 10 template weapon, let alone two!
2 Biovores
Sick of old IG armies blasting holes in your ranks? Give 'em a taste of their own medicine. Lob frag shells into their lines and smirk as you give your opponent fits.
So that's the list. GW has the GW models listed at around $470. The warstore with their discount gives the FW models a total of $210. Giving a total to the force of around $670.
Now, I prefer to trade. It means we both get what we want, and a good deal. I am looking for:
An SM force, no preferred chapter
A CSM force, prefer one of the legions, but will accept vanilla
A tau force
A sisters of battle/demon hunter army
I would prefer these forces unpainted, although assembled and primed is fine. If painted I will need pics, simply so we both get what we want. I would prefer a full force, no half-done projects that need a bagillion dollars to fix up.
You can contact me at cityslicker123@hotmail.com for fastest response. Alternatively, you can PM me. There are four more methods of contact. 1) grab me on aim (ozgangstaguy) 2) msn (cityslicker123@hotmail.com), 3) yahoo messenger (chuckyhol) and lastly carrier pidgeon =)
Now, for the little messy bit. I won't split up. This is to save hassle, and make sure no one gets ripped off or gets the wrong thing sent to them. I also don't want to trade anything less than a perfected and finely honed force.
With all those options, there really is no excuse NOT to contact me. Release your inner beast and raise hell with the tyranids.
Chuck
