What are some people's opinions on what the top contenders are for assault in 7th?

To me it seems like fast assault units are needed.

Blood Angels Assault spam?

Wraithwing?

Henchmen in Land Raiders?

Daemon Cavalry?

What do YOU think?

Assault did not change a whole lot. Chaos now has SOME benefits from having to challenge, though. I need to let my hellbrutes run rampant now, though

Fast stuff is definitely a must. You want something that can kill a unit, but not be stuck in a corner the rest of the game. With everything being scoring, assault units aren't just about taking out opposition, they have to be able to reach objectives quickly.

I'd shy away from transport-dependent units, as their speed is dependent on being in the transport. And if you have to reach point B quickly and there's terrain in the way, there's a not-slim chance of getting a flat tire, let alone the transport getting popped. Large blobs of fast stuff that ignores terrain like chaos spawn, ork bikers, and assault marines seem like a solid dependable choice that can weather a shooting phase and make it where you want them when you want them there.
