So I've entered a league at my FLGS for slow grow and am taking my new Tau Farsight Enclave suits. We start at 500 points and I've never played a game at this points level. Should be fun I'm sure. Her is what I'm thinking to start with:

Commander - 2 x fusion blasters

Crisis x 3 (2 x burst cannons each)
Crisis solo (2 x missile pod)
Crisis solo (2 x flamer)
Crisis solo (2 x flamer)

Skyray (Blacksun)

499 points. I have already built and loaded out my crisis suits for my 1850 list (along with a load of missile sides, riptides, fusion crisis and marker drones) so can't change that. I'm sure at 500pts Kroot and an ethereal would be the way to go, but I want to try suits in 7th. Any tweaks to make it run better?

Do you have to maintain your exact loadouts here through the 1850 level? If so, that's a problem. Flamers were an ok sort of giggles choice in 6th; but now that you can't extend their kill radius beyond their own range with other weapons in the unit, they really suck.

Other than that, for a 500 point list it's very good. Enclaves dominate in small point levels where mobility is key. We also can get large quantities of special-type weapons at a cheaper entry cost than most armies because we don't pay squad taxes; our basic troops just come with them.

Rule #1 is Look Cool.

Well my 1850 list has two solo suits with flamers because if they deep strike right they can often clear a claiming unit back enough that they can score at the end of my turn. Figured it'd be good for Maelstrom. The next 200 points I either add a riptide or another unit of crisis suits with double fusion...
