so at first i really liked the plague but after looking at some of them i really cant help but feel they look a bit bleh... the T1 is great but the rest just rub me the wrong way for some reason. maybe its the huge upper Torso on the T3 and the poses of the T2, im not quite sure what it is.

have any of you converted any?

The Plague models as they are work well for how I built my forces, so I won't be modding up anything for them. I do look forward to everyone else's hard work though!!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I plan to re-pose all of the Plague Stage 2s, which will involve some re-sculpting. The Plague stage 3s, with one exception, will most likely be chopped up so I can put their gun-carrying arms on Plague Zombies or the Kovossian mutants from Dreadball Xtreme.

I'm assembling / modding faction by faction, though. My Enforcers and Marauders are done, and I'm about half-way through the Rebs. So it will be awhile before I get to modding the Plague.

I've found Chaos Possessed Marines bits to be quite useful in making them more 'orrible nightmare fuel than shrunken head muties.

T2 needs conversions... Last night i finally started to build my deadzone stuff, and T2 will get a lot of conversion (i dont have ideia of how) the only pose i like is the jumping one...

The t3 are not beying converted at all, i like them, and im sure they will look better with a paint scheme who dont look so pink...

To be honest, im converting them only to change poses, as i plan to use 3 Machinegunners ^^

Maybe i try to convert a boomstick guy...

Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

Affton, MO. USA

I really like the plague 1A, but hate the head. I just bought the set and one sedition wars stuff too. The chtonian helmet from sedition wars fits over he head of the 1A so I intend to use it, and add some antennae to make him more lobster-like. It can stick over his head and b removable with a little poster tack.

Here he is

I'm thinking of adding some cables and metal plates to use him with sedition wars guys as well.

I've put together some of the Corporation marine zombies...I think the ones with rifles will be an acceptable stand in for Stage 3As instead of having the same few poses repeated. It also occurred to me that I could cram a bunch of generic zombies on to a 40mm base to act as a Plague Swarm.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

That actually sounds pretty cool, for the plague swarm.

I posted them in another thread - but here they are again. The heads and the elongated torso of the models were my major problems with the Plague S3s, too. So I sawed about 2 mm out of the torso and replaced the heads with some spares I had from the WHFB plastic Ghouls:

I kinda like them now. The Ghoul heads work fine on the S2s as well.

wow, thanks for the repost bom. i would have never thought that sawing down the torso would have such a great effect on them.
the ghoul dheads seem to be a pretty common addition.
your guys seem to have nailed what i dont care for about them. not to mention a great paint job.
