'We don't take cowards in the regiment, son, now get back in line'

Nothing special about this one, just the stock model with a lightning effect on the power sword. Very fun to paint.

Any comments and criticism welcome. Thanks for looking.

I like the cloak and the blade

I'm going to move this to the regular P & M boards as it doesn't look like the base is quite done....

.. if I'm mistaken just hit the alert and we'll move it back

Like the medals and just noticed the blood on the face, very nice

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Thanks. The base is in fact painted mud colour (I don't tend to do anything that extravagant on the base for gaming minis), but I don't mind it being in P&M. Thanks for moving it.

The blood on the face is a part of the sculpt, one of the reasons I like it so much. Actually, for a Finecast one, this model was really good.

Looking good there. A tip:since you do use a dark color on a black base why not put sand down then use your mud color & then a light drybrush? It's minimal work but it really shows that it's finished. Also kudos for saying IMPERIAL GUARD & NOT astra militarum.

Yeah, I do intend to sand and paint the bases on everything I have one day, but for the moment I just give them a basecoat. I just don't have the time, really, but it is on the to-do list.

They're always the Guard, and always will be.

This needs a lot of highlighting. Basecoat, wash and 2-3 highlights should be a minimum for a gaming piece.
I dont think i would call this tabletop

Actually, it does have 5 layers of highlighting on the black, 4 on the red, but I wanted to keep it dark. The pics do wash it out a bit, but there are 5 layers there; I don't like extreme highlights. The black is meant to look like black.
