Hi guys,

I was talking to a mate of mine who is a fantastic painter and we were thinking of doing a series of interviews with professional painters and sculptors. Between him and me we know some pretty amazing artists, including some Golden Demon winners and one of the guys in CMON’s top 10 artists.

I wanted to get some feedback from the community on what your thoughts are and, if you had the opportunity, what would you want to ask them.

Some questions that would help me:

• If we could interview anyone, who would you like us to interview?
• What questions would you ask them?
• What challenges are you guys facing at the moment that we could ask their opinion on?

Some questions we thought of were:

• What resources do they use and why
• Background info (how they go into it, and to the level that they are now)
• Any mentors that they have?
• Any processes they go through to achieve the results or effect that they do
• Questions about technique etc.

What are your thoughts? This may lead to a video series depending on what you guys are looking for.

This would also cost us some money to develop and distribute, so to see if it would be viable to create we have some questions:

• Have you guys bought anything like this before?
• What would you be willing to pay for this kind of product?
• What factors are the most / least important to you when looking to buy something like this?
• What has been your biggest frustration with similar products in the past?

I’m excited to interview these people and pick their brains. I’m looking forward to hearing your feedback and suggestions.

The problem is, with the internet and all, paying for this thing is not really . . . what people do anymore.

Why would I pay for this kind of product when I can find hundreds of excellent YouTube tutorials for free, and in many cases, High-Definition? I can find unlimited web pages detailing everything you propose and far more, just by searching Google on a whim.

This is just my half a cent. Perhaps you see a different angle to this, in which case I bid you good luck, friend!

If you're looking to make money from this, your best bet would be to create something like a Youtube channel for your videos and promote the heck out of it. You could then make some cash from advertisements.

Don't we already have magazines, YouTube, and websites/forums like CMON for this kinda stuff?
