About half a week old now, but I meant to post this earlier. Anyone ever ordered one of Spikeybits' Mystery Boxes in the past? If so, what were you hoping to pull from it/what did you actually receive? I placed an order for a box and am slightly nervous and excited to receive it.

I've always been thinking about grabbing up one of these just to see what I end up with

My box arrived two days ago. Opened it up to find MSRP value of $400 for my spending of $200. I think they have a few more... I might order more.

So what did you get in it then? Is all of it useful in some way?

Some were useful, some were nice to keep, but I'm probably going to eBay off the rest to recouperate the cost of the box - too many board game starter sets I didn't need. I did an unboxing vid that I was planning to post, but my phone crashed right as it was saving. That said, I'll post a full list up after work tonight with pictures of the contents.

I got one of these a while back and it was great, most of it was useful in some way and you can ebay off anything that you have no use for. I would have got another one but I think Rob stopped shipping to the UK.

I love Spikey Bits. That's actually my local gaming store. (FTW Games.) The owner is an upright guy that's always treated me more than fairly. Heck, a lot of that space marine stuff for sale on their site was mine once.

Tomorrow's the last day for this round of mystery boxes I think...

I don't need a box of random stuff, but if I did, I'd get one. These are always said to be great deals from the grape vines I've been on. I'd say go for it if your a type who has broad tastes and doesn't mine trading or selling the stuff you don't want.

These are the stuff I got in my box, as well as a picture of the contents themselves. Based on sticker price (the prices listed on the stickers) for those items that had them, I received $399.61 of items. However, we all know that sticker prices aren't always reflective of true prices, so I did a comparison with what the prices online actually are, for the more expensive ones, and it came out to about $300. All-in-all, not too shabby - I'm probably keeping the minis and selling the rest, including the starter sets.

That's a lot of cool stuff there. I'm kinda jealous.

Honestly, I'm wishing I got something FW myself. Saves me the effort of re-eBaying it all off.

I just ordered a second box along with my rulebook. Unfortunately, the sales person closed my order before I could tell him I wanted to add that, and I'm now forced to pay shipping twice because of his mistake. Great job. I'm going back to The Warstore for all the rest of my non-Mystery Box orders in the future.
