As some Eldar players know in 6th the Eldar Avatar was FAQed to have a 4+ invuln save. Currently the rather pathetic amount of FAQ I have seen for Eldar says nothing about this so is this still in effect or has the Avatar dropped back to a 5+ invuln due to the Demon rule? A buddy brought this up while playing me the other day then proceeded to kick the crap out of my Avatar... >_<

The end is never really the end, its the start of something new...

Didn't that change in their recent codex?

As far as I know the change was the Avatar was considered a Demon who gets a 5+ invuln and there was an FAQ that changed it to a 4+

Is it in the latest FAQ? As that is clearly an errata, and not a rule clarification, then without a published errata the codex will apply.

Well it's not in the new FAQ.
Honestly I don't remeber it being in the old one either, but I could be wrong.

As it stands currently it's a 5++

Second to last?
That would the one for the previous Codex.

No they put out about 4 or 5 FAQs over the time of the 6th edition rules. So it was either the 3rd set of FAQ or the 4th that they said the Avatar has a 4++

The 6th ed codex only had the night spinner correction IIRC.

Yep, there's the current FAQ, the previous had only the Night Spinner correction.
Ones before that were all for the previous Codex.

I would have to scan a copy of the page cause sadly GW took down all the old FAQs. But it was in there.

Yeah, and the clarification for the old codex was because it was a Deamon and had a 4++, unlike the 5++ the (new then) Deamon USR gave

Wait, you're saying you have a printed out copy of this FAQ?

Well the pre-7th FAQ is here.
That's the only one that I can remember for that Codex.

But if you can find the other one I'm happy to be proven wrong.

From the Codex Eldar FAQ v1.1:

Page 24 – The Avatar, Daemon.
Change the first and second sentences to read: “The Avatar has the Daemon special rule, with the exception that his Invulnerable save is 4+ instead of 5+”.

Note this FAQ is dated 24th July 2012 and is therefore for the previous edition of the codex.

You got the wrong codex buddy. That FAQ has been out of date since the new codex came out in 6th.

Yeah, that is for the 4th edition codex, not the 6th edition codex (which was released in 2013).

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
