Yes the best dwarf lord builds are what I am looking for, this can be either a super tanky or a super offensive oriented load out.
Kinda of a simple post but am very curious as to what people come up with!

I'll start it out with my current build, more on the tank side with a little bit of umph.

Lord -313
Shield
Shieldbearers
2 Rune of iron
3 rune of warding
2 rune of cleaving

This give my lord, 6 wounds, strength 5 armor piercing (6 on the charge let's not forget ) along with a 1 up save, 4 up ward save... 3 up in close combat (or 2up ward save the turn my lord gets charger! Is that possible?) along with the normal 4 attacks plus the shield bearer attacks

Again very excited to hopefully see some pretty over the too builds here!

Unfortunately parry saves won't stack with ward saves and you also can't parry with a magical weapon iirc. If you have a look over at bugmans brewery their is a massive thread on this discussion with all the stats involved.
Armour of borek beetlebrow 3 runes of cleaving and shieldbearers works pretty well.

AOS
- Kharadron Overlords
- Fyreslayers
- Dispossessed
- Death
- Bloodbound

Speaking with absolutely no practical experience on the subject:

Dwarf Lord- Great Weapon, Shieldbearers, Rune of Fortitude, Rune of Iron, Rune of Stone, 3 Runes of Warding- 296pts

T6/W6/1+/4++ on defense, pummels with 4 S6 and 2 S4 attacks. I don't think any of the weapon runes really match a Great Weapon in killing power, much less so when you consider how expensive they are. A humble Great Weapon puts out more than enough damage for absolute peanuts in cost and the only real loss is that you cannot take a Shield for a mundane 1+ save.
As always the biggest limit on him is the Movement value and so I don't see the point in tooling him up to kill monsters or enemy lords if you can't guarantee that he will fight them. If I were in the opponents position I would bog him down in a tarpit and so a tanky Lord that will never die, but can reliably murder cheap stuff is exactly what you want.

I considered swapping the Rune of Stone for Preservation, lowering him to a 2+ save but providing strong resistance against Killing Blow; realistically the only way he's going to die anyway...

Two runes of fortitude are cheaper than fortitude and iron for the same effect IIRC. Or was it 2x iron?
Don't have my book handy, so I can't check, but there was something incredibly cheap for the cost for 2x the +1T one.

If you're looking at a purely defensive build, don't overlook the Parrying rune. Considering the Lord is WS 7, that would make most elite units hit him on 5+ and most basic combat troops hit on 6+.
