The name pretty much says it all. I'm really, REALLY interested in picking up the deal (96 minis for $99.99) but I would like to know if the minis are even playable in the game. It would be cool to convert them and paint them up just for the hell of it, but I promised myself (and more importantly my wife) that I would stop getting minis that have no use in terms of gaming. If there is an army list out there that I'm missing, could someone please put up a link to it?

I believe they know everything that I do and think, and they still love me. And I’ve concluded, after careful consideration, that this person keeping score is me." -Adam Savage

They are included in the alpha list for the Plague.

PS - Highly recommend you link up with Arguemaniac either here or on Boardgamegeek. He's a local Mantic fan in the NoVA area.
Only reason I don't play against him any more is because we just moved to AZ.

I'd really recommend waiting for the hard plastics coming out in December, the current set requires a lot of conversion work and you do not want to be doing that on 100 restic models.

I enjoyed the kitbash but I had extra zombie and ghoul sprues, and only did around 30.

The new hard plastic zombies do look to be pretty awesome.

So they're just being folded up into the Plague list? Boooooo!

I went ahead and bought in any way. Looks like I'll just run them as Corporation. Very stinky and ragged corporation. After Mantic put up their 25% off World Cup deal I just couldn't resist them at $75 for 96 dudes. That's too much of a steal!

Thanks for the help.

That's what I'm doing, just the equivalent of another corporation's marine corps. Enjoy the kitbash its fun.

On a related note, do Warpath figures match Deadzone minis in scale? I've been thinking of getting some of the zombie marines to use as Stage 3s.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

Deadzone=Warpath in the same way that 40k=Necromunda: Same setting, same minis, same scale, different rules. So yes, WP minis are fine in DZ! In fact, the Enforcer minis are the Warpath ones apart from the specialists.
