Hi Guys, some guidance needed to a couple of rules questions i've got. I've had a quick scan of the forum but i'm still not sure.

Regarding "Armies of the Imperium" on the allies matrix, I can now ally any imperial faction to another as battle brothers. What I would like to know is where Codex Inquisition fits into this now? Previously in 6th edition I know that you could have something like this for example:

Primary Detatchment: Space Marines
Allied Detatchment: Blood Angels
Inquisitorial Detatchment

For a a total of 3 different factions. Is this still possible now using battle forged rules? Or does codex inquisition now count as a main primary or allied detachment?

Also a random question - in 6th edition I seem to remember rules for jumping off a building or a ruin (and taking a hit in the process) - is this gone from 7th edition now? I cannot for the life of me see it in the rulebook anywhere.

Thanks!

You can hav as many detachments as you can fit in. That's it. If they are all followed, then it is battle forged. Read the rules for constructing an army carefully, and throw our your old conceptions - there are no limits in how many detachments you can take. They can be from different factions as long as each detachment has a single faction.

Misread... yay.

The section detailing Detachments informs us that Codex's, Supplements and even offical news-letters will all contain information concerning other types of Detachments. It goes on to state that these additional Detachments are all legal choices for 7th edition Detachments, so feel free to include them along side Allied and Combined Arm Detachment within your army. This means any Detachment information found in previous Codex's has been made legal for 7th edition, even if not directly addressed by Errata which is unusual, though by lacking any actual Benifit listed it would have to default to 'none,' though honestly I don't think the Objective Secured Special Rule is all that great as it is very situational so it isn't that much of a loss.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

You may have as many detachments as you can have. the Inquisitorial detachment still exists as it is detailed in the codex. While an Inquisitorial detachment can be your primary, you can not include a Lord of War or Fortification in it(they'll have to be purchased from other detachments) Also, you will not be able to re-roll your warlord trait, and as mentioned earlier, units from that detachment do not have objective secured.
