So, I'm playing Blood Angels more and more, and I'm seeing some things that I would call competitive.

Whether it is Dreadnoughts in Drop pods to Mephiston + Corbulo or Mephiston + Tigarius, to Land Raider spam, it seems like Blood Angels have gotten pretty good.

What are your thoughts?

They got all the same buffs as other Marine armies that's helped them a lot; they have tougher vehicles, OS troops, All-reserve makes more stuff possible.

They can also play the mobility game better than most, helping in maelstrom missions, and the transports thing goes double with LR being dedicated transports.

The Mephiston+X combos are not something I'd really advocate as it strikes me as a little strange given his character, but from a tactical POV it makes sense; you can use him as the 'glue' to hold together a multi-character Deathstar. This is more a gimmick than a general buff, though.

When the new codex drops and the costings are brought in line with C:SM/DA, then I can see Blood Angels being in a very good place.

The "Phist-Stars" are not really fluffy, but dang, are they good.

He with tigarius has taken out the avatar of khaine, 2 greater daemons, and a heck of a lot more.

Yeah, I can appreciate the tactical value of them; what's not to like about being able to attack one of the most powerful characters in the game to one of the most powerful characters in the game?

I was just saying that personally, I'd never even go near fielding one.
