Has anyone seen any third party collapsible range rules? I could see them being rods you plug together or folding.

like this? http://www.productsforwargamers.com/screw_measuring_sticks.html

The x-wing range bands are 100mm each so if you want something compact the trusty tape measure is probably easiest.

Also, all measurements in X-Wing uses metric centimeters, check it yourself.

So you can just buy a metric ruler or tape measure if you want to save money.

I went with http://www.appliedperspective.com/acrylic/product/x-wing-complete-range-template-set/ to get what I need. I also picked up the Huge Ship Template set at the same time.

How do you like the two sets? I've almost pulled the trigger, but haven't got them yet.

One of the locals built something similar with two range rulers and two of the plastic connectors for maneuver dials. Sure it doesn't say 4 and 5, but it gets the job done.

I like them. They match the templates I have and do the job quite well.
