Hey all, this is my first foray into posting stuff I paint online. I am usually a lurker and this army was assembled based on lots of tries to create a nice thematic steel legion armoured company. Camera and positioning is horrible so I will try to take better pictures later on when I borrow my friend's camera.

Anyway, the look is a clean steel legion armoured company, I haven't put the tracks on yet since I plan to do it one shot at the end of the project. I currently have 3 tanks finished ( pictures ) and more on the way. The leman russ vanquishers are magnatised to allow weapon change but I don't plan on giving them sponsons since I would probably change the weapons for smaller scale games. However, The executioners are not magnatised since I don't have many magnets to go around and I am way too lazy to wait for more. So, what do you guys think?

Also, I'd like comments and criticism about how I can improve the models. I would try to implement the thoughts and suggestions into later models.

The only things I am aware off currently is the fact that no unit markings (decals) are used and the standard wear and tear isn't there. I am deciding whether or not to use the wear and tear since I am a fan of "new" tanks.

If anyone asks why the tanks are clean and not "battle forged", the units here represent a fresh group of armoured units that just came out of the factory. No frills, no heroic poses, these are the simple men and women who fight and die faceless deaths for the emperor. I don't plan on making my heroes/higher ranked units really stand out mainly because they are not supposed to represent a specific "hero" but rather the ordinary troops that fight for the emperor. It would be easier then, to have faceless troops (or generic faced ones) to represent the constant replacements the unit undergoes. Who knows, maybe after my games I might pick a tank or two that survived maybe more than 70% of my games and put a sign there

Thanks for the comments mate. I forgot to add that this project started exactly one week ago Tuesday and I have finished all 9 tanks with tracks by today. Pictures will be uploaded later.

Fast progress to a nifty standard

So, it's around 2 am here and I have finished the 7 day - 9 vehicle project. Here are the front and back pictures, again sorry for the poor quality, lighting, etc... Will contact my friend soon for his camera Also, The 30 man steel legion is coming soon (though not at the speed of light XD) so tune in later for more pictures.

Thread resurrection. Also, 1st squad of steel legion units are done. Been a bit slow due to internship but I am motivated to keep going. 20 More men to go and 2x wyverns ( changed from demolisher type tanks ). Support weapons will have to come later when both projects are done.













Lastly, I have no shame in using my crap camera.
