Something I have been trying to decide. As a Warriors of Chaos player, how important is it for me to have an extra 1-2 Daemon Prince and Chaos Spawn models. I play right now in friendly in the basement games with our local group of 5-6 players that are all long time friends. That said I am interested in starting to get into tournaments, and other games outside this group (if I can ever find a place to do so in the MA area). Once I step outside my small group, is having these extra models going to make the difference of getting one off the eye of the gods table and possibly losing important hero/lord in my list with no Daemon Prince or spawn replacing them because I don't have the model. What have people found, as I am 3 boxes away from having my happy 2500pt army finished. I just want some of those realistic ideas of do I need to get these before I move on to building a second army (Dwarfs here I come). Thanks for any feedback.

If you're planning on entering tournaments I'd definitely pick up at least a daemon prince, the spawns less important.
However the models are nice and would give you more painting time

As long as they're not horrors.

Malifaux masters owned: Guild(Sans McCabe), Outcasts(Sans Misaki), Arcanists(Sans Marcus)

It is. For me, painting is the most important part of "the hobby".

I do like painting. The things I was more things I was more thinking on were 1) was it more worth it in the monthly budget the Mrs puts me on for warhammer to get these "may get used rarely on a proc" models or working on next army, and 2) I already did a good paintjob/build on a Daemon Prince and wasn't sure what to do for a second model to have it be different and interesting.

I looked at the couple of forge world daemon prince models and was not impressed. This may make a difference if I can find another great model to have it be different. (before it is mentioned, I am HORRIBLE at conversion work so that is not the route I would prefer to go)

So looks like the answer is a single DP is worth it, spawn may not be (in the immediate anyways)

That's just it though. It is YOUR most important part of the hobby. Someone else may be in it for the gaming. Hence they field an army of greys. It's all good.

Warhammer is the right of all sentient nerds!
