Nice build. I love the LEDS -- I presume they are your addition, I've never heard of a model company putting an LED set in the kit though Fine Molds are maybe the best specialist polystyrene company going (for Star Wars anyway...)
1/72 is a small scale for the Y Wing which realistically is the equivalent of something like a Boston Havoc.
1/48 would be a better scale though the Millenium Falcon would then be a huge kit!

Almost all of the Finemoulds kits are 1:72, and believe me, they don't suffer for it.
I have already built a TIE fighter and interceptor and the detail is amazing, you just can't see it all. You get the imperial symbols for the pilot's helmet, but once he's in the cockpit, you have almost zero chance of seing them again.
And the 1:72 scale Falcon, comes with almost 1,000 parts.
The only exceptions I am aware of are the 1:144 Falcon and the two versions of Slave 1, and the 1:48 scale Snowspeeder, Tie fighter, and X-wing.
That Y-wing is a very creditable version of a great kit. The only comment I would make is that the markings look a little 'new' compared to the condition of the rest of the craft. some over painting with the base colour would dull them down a little, and you could introduce some wear on them at the same time.

"Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics, and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." Thanks everyone for viewing and commenting.
Killkrazy I added the LEDs, At 1/48 scale the Falcon would
indeed be huge. I recently purchased the kit and it comes in a 2ftx3ft box.I'm in no hurry to tackle that model.
Conrad Turner thank you for your comments. The Finemold
1/72 kits are very detailed. Putting on all the little pipes
does test your patience. Thanks again for viewing.

I had the 1/72 scale Millenium Falcon and a couple of Slave 1 kits when they were put out in the late 70s/early 80s by I think Revell.
The Fine Molds kits are completely new toolings done in close co-operation with the film people.
